"Blessed are you, Lord our G-d, who has kept us alive, sustained us, and brought us to this season."
This image is an expression of the prayer that is said when something happens for the first time at a particular time of the year. It is about time. The trio of circular shapes represent the past (filled with texture), the present and the future (blank). The present is the central circle with praise going up toward the heavens to G-d. As always, the red represents G-d. The three circles on the diagonal visually explain Shimon HaTzaddik's (Simon the Just) belief that the whole world is built upon three things...Torah, Worship and acts of Loving kindness.
"Al shalosha devarim haOlam omade....al haTorah, v'al haAvodah v'al gimelut Chasadim." The colors chosen represent the celebratory nature of living this belief and joyfully saying this prayer.
