Artist's Description

ZACHOR: REMEMBER!
This painting serves as a visual tribute to the lives lost in the Holocaust.
The stripes of the concentration camp uniforms and the barbed wire are overt associations, embedded in our minds.
The flames, reminiscent of Yizkor candles, serve as a reminder that we must never forget.
The color fades from top to bottom, alluding to fading memories, as the Holocaust takes its place in history.
Yet, the brightness of the flames and word, enliven and inspire our spirit to remember!
