Ineffable Name Of G-d By Judaic Artist Marlene Burns

Judaic artist, Marlene Burns, is pleased to present her latest painting that examines the unspoken Name of G-d. Ineffable.
Too great or extreme to be expressed or explained with words.
Beyond description. Not to be uttered.
The tetragrammaton ‘Yud, Hay, Vav, Hay’ is the ineffable Hebrew Name of G-d.

Asiyah is the physical and lowest world in which we live: In this world, Adonai commanded us to build a sanctuary for Him so that he could dwell among us. (Exodus 25:8)

Zachor: Remember
This painting serves as a visual tribute to the lives lost in the Holocaust (Shoah).
The stripes of the concentration camp uniforms and the barbed wire are overt associations, embedded in our minds.
The flames, reminiscent of Yizkor candles, serve as a reminder that we must never forget.
The artist visually faded the color out of the image, from top to bottom to allude to fading memories, as the Holocaust takes its place in history.
Yet, the brightness of the flames and word, enliven and inspire our spirit to remember!

Prints are now available in a wide variety of sizes and materials. Contact Marlene directly about licensing, postcards, bulk orders and enhanced giclees stretched on...
