Artist Marlene Burns is pleased to announce that her Judaic series of abstract paintings based on Hebrew prayers, blessing,s psalms, holiday and proverbs will be a regular feature on the Chabad.org international website's Art for the Soul blog. This series has 23 paintings to date. Many of the original 36"x36" paintings are available for purchase and all of the images are available as fine art reproductions for cards, framed prints, canvas giclees and reproductions on metal and acrylic, in a variety of sizes and framing options.

American Artist Marlene Burns, is excited and pleased to unveil her latest creative endeavor...wild portraits! In keeping with her latest experimentation with hybrid images of sections of her abstract photography and paintings, Marlene has now moved into a new arena. She is utilizing images of children, combining them with her contemporary urban photography, to make exciting portraits. Each of these images sends a strong message about her subject.

American Artist Marlene Burns, is pleased to announce that her painting of Aishet Chayil:Woman of Valor, has been chosen to honor Mother's Day and will be covering the following newspapers in the NYC area on Friday, May 10, 2013: The Long Island Jewish World, The Manhattan Jewish Sentinel and the Jewish Tribune.

Abstract Artist Marlene Burns is pleased to announce that her photographic diptych "Urban Rose" has been selected for the 2013 Art Exhibition at the Herberger Theater Center in Phoenix , Arizona. The exhibit "Show and Tell" will run from July 12-September 2, 2013. Twenty other artists were juried in by guest curator, Peter Bugg and a panel of esteemed artists. American Artist Marlene Burns, is pleased to announce that Target Audience Magazine is carrying a featured article about her hybrid work, blending abstract photography and abstract paintings together, in their April issue. Marlene's professional painting career has spanned 40 years. Recently, she has picked up a camera to chronicle the abstracts she sees in the streets of the city. Her experiements have morphed into taking pieces of both genres and blending them together to create new and exciting images.

American Artist, Marlene Burns, is pleased to announce that one of her Judaic paintings "Aishet Chayil:Woman of Valor," has been chosen to cover the Akdamot Journal of Jewish Thought of the Beit Morasha in Jerusalem, Israel.
Her series of large, abstract paintings, based on Hebrew prayers, blessings, psalms, proverbs and holidays has been receiving worldwide attention. Each painting has an accompanying text of translation with her interpretation as an artist and Hebrew educator. With many cross over blessings and covert symbolism, this Judaic series has a broad appeal. There are 23 paintings in the series thus far.
